31 October 2020

First, please be safe if you plan to participate in any social Halloween events. Wear a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands, etc.

With the virus numbers out there right now,  if you're out in the world (at work or school or a soccer game, etc) exposure is likely. But if you're wearing your PPE and washing your hands a lot, then you're seriously cutting back on the likelihood of contracting the virus. Please take this seriously. As I said in my SM conference last week, "We can't control the wind, but we can control our sails."

Second, remember to set your clocks back an hour tonight.

Third, I regret to inform you our Court of Honor has been postponed until next weekend.

Fourth, we WILL have a troop meeting on Monday (11/2) doing 50th St. cleanup. Bring gloves and a garbage bag and a headlamp and a mask.

Court of Honor POSTPONED Details
I'm sorry for the late notice about the CoH. I accept responsibility, but we found some last-minute discrepancies in comms and Scoutbook advancement, from some completed BoRs and want to make sure scouts get recognized for what they've earned, as they should.

If you (or your scout) passed a board of review at any point in 2020, please let me know before Monday.  I believe we are good on merit badges, but the rank advancement is a little murkier. Please talk with your scout.

Our March Court of honor was postponed, as it was scheduled the week after we suspended for Covid.  We haven't had one yet in 2020.

The plan is for next weekend. Next Saturday is supposed to be 66°F. So it "might" be better anyway. Again, I apologize. We'll still be outside at Wabun Park - Shelter D.
We must adhere to MDH & MPRB regs so we must cap our congregating group size at ≤25 people so we will still have 2-3 events depending on the number of scouts advancing so Scouts can have parents attend (either a 1pm & 2pm or a 1:00, 1:45, and 2:30)

Please fill out this 2 question poll by Monday to let me know if next Saturday (11/7) or Sunday (11/8) would be better for your family to participate.
