TROOP MEETING MONDAY (11/8)
We will have a troop meeting Monday night. In-Person at MUMC. 18:30-20:00.
We will be planning for our upcoming campout, working on some advancement items, and reviewing some procedural things as we'll be meeting indoors for the foreseeable future.
Troop 1 will continue to require masks at meetings.

Scouts travel in Scout Uniform
Meet at MUMC at 18:30
This is a purposeful Back-to-the-Woods / "program-free" campout but will take a hike and likely have some advancement opportunities. Scouts should have their Scout handbook.
•HEALTH FORMS - All participants must have a completed BSA Health Form part A & B to participate.
•PACKING - If you're not sure what to pack for a weekend campout, check the Scout Handbook. Also here's a list from Scout's Life Magazine.
• COST - Scouts pay $10 for food. Menus to be planned by patrols and approved on Monday.
• PATROL & TROOP GEAR - Prepped and taken from shed on Monday, Nov 8 - Dutch Oven(s), Patrol Box(es), tents, etc.
CAMPING DURING COVID-19 • TROOP 1 REQUIREMENTS
1 - All participants must have a negative Covid-19 test after Nov 10 (within 3 days of departure), and anybody experiencing any cold-like or Covid-19 symptoms will be asked to not participate. I recommend the airport - super fast saliva test and super fast (next day) results. Be prepared to share results on Friday.
2- Any Scout sent home from school/sports due to direct exposure should follow the 7-day quarantine rule by MDH unless the direct exposure is within your household. Then follow the 14-day rule. Obviously, participating in this campout cannot happen within the quarantine period.
3- Troop 1 will continue to require masks indoors and inside vehicles and when in contact with scouts from outside our unit.
4- Scouts will share tents. we'll be tenting outside. All scouts First Class and under must have a tent mate.
FUNDRAISING - SIMPLS Soups
Our Fall Soup/Pizza fundraiser started last Monday! It runs until 11/30/21. We appreciate your help getting the word out.
Here are some helpful tips to maximize the success of our fundraiser:
1. Make sure to personalize the email template for each person you send it to.3. Share the Simpls website: www.simpls.com along with our promo code: 21TROOP1 to social media accounts.4. Remind everyone they can order as many times as they like during the fundraising period! And yes, you can also order!5. Send another email reminder or social post a few days prior to the end of the fundraising period for any last chance orders.
